QUOTE
Born in South London, Oroh Angiama's love affair with music began as a choirboy at the age of 9. He started playing piano at 10 before moving on to the double bass.

When he moved on to electric bass he met composer/producer Tunde Jegede who had formed a group called Ensemble Esotorica which he was invited to join. This group collaborated with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Peter Wiegold) and Wayne McGregor's Random Dance Company (contemporary dance group) This led to workshops with Nuance and a classically based group Sharp Edge.

Over the next few years Oroh played bass for International Artists such as; Praz formerly of the Fugees (US), Queen Salawa (Nigeria), Lekan Babola (Nigeria), Lucky Ranku (South Africa), Jazzinho (Portugal), Iki (Japanese), Cibelle (Brazil) and has toured with artists such as Jazz Saxophonist Courtney Pine, Songstress Nicolette formerly of Massive Attack, Pee Wee Ellis (writer of James Brown hit Cold Sweat) and Nitin Sawhney.

He has worked with over 30 recording artists including contemporary composer Roland Perrin on the album Songs from the Cage, MC Blade, Roots Manuva, Glen Scot, Celloman, Velarsound, Bond, Talvin Singh, Gilles Peterson, Boo Scher, Da Lata and the Urban Soul Orchestra.

He played bass on stage in the award winning West End Musical Kat and The Kings and has recorded for numerous film soundtracks and tv adverts.

Oroh is currently touring with Corinne Bailey Rae and is her Musical Director.

In How Music Works, Oroh performs J S Bach's Air on a G String accompanied by Philip Achille on harmonica and Howard Goodall on Hammond organ.

Because Oro´s myspace is private I sent him a message on 31th December. Today I´ve got his answer:
Hello Oroh,
searching for informations about you and your music I found this page on myspace and a nice video on youtube playing J.S. Bach.
I decide to make a topic at the andreamcewan.eu-forum about the bandmembers of Andrea and looking for informations.
Unfortunetly I can not read your page.
Perhaps you can give me a little informations, if you agree on my intention.
I wish you a Happy New Year
looking forward to your answer
cheers Michael

today´s answer:
Hi Michael
That blog on me is a little out of date....

He's m.d and played bass for Corinne Bailey Rae's 2005-2007.. Leon Jean Marie.(.2008)
Currently musical director/ bass player for Tom Jones , Cerys Matthews and new artist Andreya Triana...
He's co-written music that will be released on an album called SHARP TOWN by a band called CELLOMAN out this year..
But he can't wait to get out on the rd with ANDREA MCEWAN!
